We offer a range of personalised 24-hour care services tailored to each resident’s needs, including older person care and assistance with daily living, residential care, respite care, mild to moderate dementia care, care for the visual and healing impaired, day care, convalescent care and palliative and end of life care. 

Each resident receives a tailored care plan designed to promote independence, dignity, and overall wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment.

At Meadowbanks Care Home, residential care is all about helping residents feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home. This includes support with everyday tasks like washing, dressing, and medication, as well as freshly prepared meals, housekeeping, and laundry. Most importantly, our team is always on hand to offer companionship, reassurance, and personalised care tailored to each individual.

Once an enquiry has been made, we would arrange a pre-admission assessment, ideally face to face, to ensure we are able to meet the needs of your loved one.

The assessment allows us to gain an understanding of care needs, medical history, mobility, routines, preferences and any support required on a day-to-day basis.

Following the assessment, if we are able to accommodate the required level of care, we would discuss fees, contracts and a proposed move-in date. We would then support the individual and their family throughout the admission process to make the transition into the home as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Meadowbanks is located on Hall Lane in Upminster, Essex, within easy reach of Romford, Hornchurch, and the wider Havering area. Set within four acres of peaceful countryside, the home offers a calm and scenic setting while remaining accessible for visiting families.

Residents can take part in a variety of activities such as music therapy, arts and crafts, weekly intergenerational Songs & Smiles sessions, flower arranging, gentle exercise, garden walks and social events. Yes, all residents at Meadowbanks Care Home have their own private, fully furnished en-suite bedroom. Rooms are designed to promote comfort, independence, and dignity, and residents are encouraged to personalise their space to feel truly at home. Photos in our gallery are illustrative of a typical room, but all vary in shapes and sizes. We endeavour to honour our resident’s first choice of room and for them to remain there for the duration of their time with us, but room changes may be necessary on the rare occassion due to care needs.
