Life at Meadowbanks
Meadowbanks is a place to feel at home. From bright and spacious bedrooms and plenty of outdoor spaces, to enriching activities, places to gather with loved ones and nutritious and
delicious home-cooked meals.
Our Lifestyle
Meadowbanks is a calm and welcoming home, where residents and their families can feel at ease.
We offer a variety of activities for those who enjoy staying busy, while also respecting that some residents prefer to relax and simply take in the beauty of the four acres of countryside around them. For nature lovers, binoculars are available for wildlife and bird watching.
Our two enclosed gardens, set within the peaceful Essex countryside, provide the perfect place to enjoy fresh air and gentle walks. The grounds feature a picturesque pond—almost a lake—with its own island and a graceful willow tree, all teeming with wildlife and natural beauty waiting to be discovered.
Our Lifestyle Goals
Connect with Family
We encourage our residents to spend time with their families, if the opportunity for a family day out or a holiday should arrive, we will do everything we can to support them.
Improve Independence
The aim is to improve the resident’s level of independence, maximise their functional ability, confidence and self-worth.
Exercising Choice
We believe that residents should have as much freedom as possible, whilst assuring that our expert team is on hand to support them whenever it is needed.
Learn New Hobbies
We encourage our residents to explore new hobbies and interests. We offer a weekly schedule of activities that offer a variety of things to explore.

Life at Meadowbanks is calm and tranquil, surrounded by four acres of meadowland.
Residents can enjoy the gardens, watch wildlife by the pond, or simply relax outdoors, with the freedom to live at their own pace.
Our Rooms
Meadowbanks is a purpose-built care home. There are 40 bedrooms located on two floors and each room has its own en-suite shower room.
There is a large lounge, dining room and a library on each floor, along with a large assisted bathroom, sluice, treatment room and workstation. There is also a purpose-built hair salon on the ground floor.
There are 19 single en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor. Two bedrooms are interconnecting and can be used as a bedroom and lounge, or for a couple who wish to have access between the two rooms. All rooms have a nurse call system.

Our rooms at Meadowbanks combine comfort with peace of mind. Each has a private en-suite shower and a nurse call system, while interconnecting options are available for couples. Alongside bright lounges, a library, and a salon, residents enjoy the privacy of their own space within four acres of secure gardens and meadowland.
Our Mealtimes
We know that mealtimes are more than just food—they’re a chance to enjoy comfort, company, and choice.
All our meals are carefully prepared using fresh ingredients, making every dish both nutritious and delicious.
Breakfast is served whenever residents prefer, whether bright and early or later in the morning. Fresh fruit, snacks, and hot or cold drinks are always available throughout the day. While lunch is usually the main meal, residents are welcome to enjoy it in the evening if they wish.
At teatime, we offer both hot and cold options, and residents can always choose an alternative from the kitchen to suit their tastes.

At Meadowbanks, mealtimes are a pleasure. Our chefs create fresh, nutritious meals with choices at every mealtime. Residents help shape our seasonal menus, which include special treats throughout the year, making every meal both healthy and delicious.
Our Activities
We believe that every resident should have the opportunity to enjoy activities that are meaningful, enjoyable, and tailored to their interests.
Our aim is to support independence, boost confidence, and help residents feel a sense of purpose and wellbeing.
We have two dedicated Activity Co-ordinators who organise a variety of activities to suit individual tastes, encouraging participation
at every level.
Friends, family, and the local community are always welcome to join in, making our activities a lively and inclusive part of life at Meadowbanks.
Each resident is supported personally to find the activities that bring them the most joy.
Our Regular Activities

From social gatherings to hobbies and quiet pastimes, activities aim to build confidence, independence, and a sense of purpose. Friends, family, and the local community are also welcomed to take part, making every day varied and engaging.
